The RAV4 hybrid makes 226 net horsepower with front-wheel drive and 236 with AWD, and its EPA estimates reach 47 city/40 highway on front-drive grades, the clear efficiency win. It also out-tows the Tiguan when equipped right: 3,500 pounds on AWD SE, XLE Premium, XSE, Limited, and Woodland grades, though the LE sits at 1,750.
